CNPS7000-ALCU Athlon 64, Athlon FX, and Opteron Quiet CPU Cooler
Product Description
CNPS7000-AlCu for AMD Clawhammer
Quiet CPU Fans - Zalman CNPS7000-AlCu Quiet CPU Cooler for AMD Athlon 64, Athlon FX, and Athlon Opteron Zalman has once again revolutionized the quiet CPU cooling market. What can you say about their new cooler, the Zalman CNPS7000-AlCu, except that it is indeed an awesome and innovative design. The CNPS7000-AlCu is the superior quiet CPU cooler - cooling at an amazingly low 20.0 decibels, cooling both current and future CPUs super-efficiently and with superior cooling performance. This innovative quiet cooler has been designed to work with AMD Opteron CPUs (Athlon 64, ClawHammer). Note: this CPU cooler is designed to work with AMD Athlon 64 and Opteron CPUs, not AMD Athlon XP. See the new Nexus AXP-3200 for use with your AMD Athlon XP cpu. A Flower Cooler With a New DesignZalman has taken the basic concept of their flower cooler and improved upon it. This CPU cooler (CNPS7000-AlCu) also has far superior heat dissipation because of its numerous fins and the copper incorporated into its design. It is similar in design to the flower coolers as it also has much of the look of a rolodex. But this “rolodex” is circular rather than in the shape of a “flower”, with a silent fan located in the middle of it. The incorporation of a silent fan directly in the middle of 360 degrees of thin, rolodex-like fins is the genius of Zalman. This allows for the hottest air to be efficiently directed away from the core and in and out through super-cooling fins. Improved Thermal Resistance NumbersTake a look at the thermal resistance numbers on this cooler: Thermal resistance for the CNPS7000-AlCu is .29 Degrees C/W. Compare this to the CNPS6500-AlCu, Zalman’s previous cooler for the Pentium 4, cooling up to 2.8 Ghz. It’s thermal resistance is .36 Degrees C/W (lower is better). Or, take a look at the all copper CNPS6500-Cu. Its thermal resistance was .33 Degrees C/W (lower than the CNPS6500-AlCu, but still 4 degrees higher than this new cooler, the CNPS7000-Cu). Plus the CNPS6500-Cu was 898 grams, weighing in at 448 grams over Intel’s 450 gram weight limit. This required extreme care when moving a computer with the CNPS6500-Cu attached. This new cooler, the CNPS7000-AlCu is under Intel’s 450 gram limit, at only 445 grams. Benefits to the Zalman CNPS7000-AlCu:
