The SPA-841 is Sipura's first enrty into the business VoIP telephone market. There is a significant market opportunity associated with VoIP phones. Today, the PBX replacement market is approximately $8 billion annually. VoIP adoption in this market space is growing rapidly and all major business communications system vendors have hedged their future on this technology. Service providers are actively exploring IP Centrex - a hosted service model for delivering IP telephony services to VoIP endpoints. In their August 2002, report entitled, "U.S. Traditional and Next-Generation Centrex Services Markets," Frost & Sullivan states the IP Centrex market is expected to grow from 13,000 lines in 2001 to 10 million lines by 2008.
